Since we decided to step up and support the Grassy Park Empowerment Forum in their COVID-19 Food Drive life hasn’t been the same.

This small NPO is making big strides in the fight against poverty and supporting those who need help the most in our community in Grassy Park.

Covid-19 has had an immense impact and will do so for the foreseeable future. Many families are not able to sustain themselves and that is where the GPEF comes in.

The goal is to provide a dignified way to survive by reaching out to those who need it most. The food drive system was designed after collaboration with community leaders, remarkable individuals who offered their support, time and input to create a system that can be operated easily.

Nigel’s Feeding Angels

Nigel’s Feeding Angels

Nigel’s Food Angels started out  in Retreat, on the Cape Flats in Cape Town during the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting lockdown.

They were sourcing donations on their own and managed to feed at least 100 children 3 times a week in the Retreat area. We sponsored & created a logo and letterhead for them to use in their application documents and donation appeals.

Dealing with social media platforms is one of the supporting services we offer to our clients. We can write blogs, create graphic content and post it.

We measure and provide reporting on the statistics and engagement where required.

Handling a social media profile for an NPO is imperative as the donors & sponsors rely on the exposure and use it as a measurement tool of their social responsibility efforts.

We created these facebook posts for the Grassy Park Empowerment Forum to bring their facebook page up to date and drive engagement.

NPO website: Grassy Park Empowerment Forum

Hot Coffee Media is situated in Grassy Park, Cape Town and have been involved in the local community since we relocated back to Cape Town in 2016. We are actively involved in supporting the Neighborhood Watch, Retreat & Steenberg ‘Back to School’ drive and various clothing and food banks.

Grassy Park Empowerment Forum is an organisation that is close to our heart. They are the people who are working quietly in the background in the greater Grassy Park area to ensure empowerment, skills development and community participation happen in healthy amounts and are accessible to everyone.  They are currently initiating a food parcel drive to help those in need in the Grassy Park area.

We decided to add our support by sponsoring their new website’s design, development and hosting and assist them with training and support to get the most out of their new virtual home.

Hot Coffee Media support the local community in any way we can. From a simple birthday cake to sponsoring websites and helping with online marketing.

am so proud of my daughter Sascha-lee Ruiters, also working with me in my business, for this amazing initiative she got us involved in.

This was the first time time that an actual drive was launched in the Retreat & Steenberg area in the southern suburbs and we were able to assist over 150 learners with providing school uniforms, stationary and books – many of who were grade 1’s.

A simple call out on social media platform Facebook started the flood of stationary, uniforms and shoe sponsorships that streamed in and we are very grateful to those who made donations and helped.

We are looking forward to assisting the parents and children in need next year again.

Weskus Helpers NPO VredenburgWeskus Helpers is a community organisation based in Vredenburg/Saldanha area on the West Coast and plays an integral role in feeding the hungry and helping the destitute. They have been operating for the past 8 years and has twice weekly soup kitchens, are involved in skills development by teaching women and children the art of sewing and needlework, running a charity shop and assisting the elderly.

We selected them during a search for NPO organisations that needed a website to assist them further with achieving their goals of helping and assisting the families.

We designed and built a custom website for them and sponsored their first year of hosting and maintenance.
